25. Cuckoos in the Forest

14 Feb

MISCONCEPTION: Cuckoo clocks are amazing little clocks with tiny birds inside, who come out on the hour, every hour. They are also powered by a mixture of tiny gears, cogs, springs and Swiss magic. It has to be Swiss magic because Cuckoo clocks come from Switzerland of course.

TRUTH: Whilst popular within Switzerland, the Cuckoo clock was invented and greatly  developed around the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) in Germany. The first origin of the clocks are not known exactly but it is certain that the original cuckoo clocks were from that Southern region before they were improved around the Black Forest.

obviously like your web-site but you have to check the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very troublesome to tell the truth nevertheless I will surely come back again.

Thank you for the compliment and the promise of return visits.
With regards to the spelling errors in the posts I must firstly inform you that I intend to scour through all of my posts tomorrow and remove any errors. Secondly I am trying to streamline the process so I have time to check for errors in advance which is sorely needed.
