The Author
The Author and Curator of ‘Most Odd’ is a human who goes by the name of Alexandre R.D.M. Coates.
A character widely considered to be of questionable sanity and a self-diagnosed fact addict, when not sharing facts, the Author gathers more from everywhere one would normally look; and a magical field of fact mushrooms which he claims exist on all the dimensions that everyone else “just plain ignores”.
He founded Most Odd in order to spread the useless but hopefully interesting knowledge further, also to provide himself with an excuse for looking up things about humongous forests made up of the same tree.
The Author enjoys the following: knowledge, hats, repetition, waistcoats, Dr. Who, Physics, baking cupcakes, repetition, disliking Iodine, Life, the universe, and everything and repetition.

I am a paranormal enthusiast. While watching Ancient Aliens, a search of “Russia + hikers + 1951 + mountain” regarding the Dyaltov Pass, led me to your blog as one of the top five search results. Look forward to checking out the oddities.

The unusual, the malodorous, the divergent, and the deviants are the geniuses in our midst. But people don’t seem to appreciate them.

I have been hooked to your blogs and am amazed to see the effort that has gone into gathering not just facts and randomly posting them, but facts well-placed and portrayed in the right light like a story well-narrated. I have heard some of these stories before.but your versions are so apt and the writing-style is such that there is not a word more, not a word less. (take a bow )
